Where can I park for Constant Center events?

Parking is included in your ticket purchase and is available in the 43rd street and 45th street garages located directly across the street of the Constant Center. There are also free auxiliary parking locations on the campus of Old Dominion University if the garages fill up.

Can I host a business meeting or special event at the Constant Center?

There are many spaces available to rent for corporate functions, meetings and banquets. Call the administration office at (757) 683-5762 for more information about renting meeting room space.

I purchased tickets to an event at your venue, but I need an ADA accessible seat. Can I exchange my seat?

Accessible seating can be purchased online, at the box office or by calling YNOT Tix at 1-888-326-9849. Guests who arrive to the Constant Center and require accessible seating but are without accessible seating tickets will be accommodated at the Guest Services booth based on seating availability.

For online purchases- click the blue wheelchair symbol on the ticket buying page for ADA accessable seating. ADA permits that each guest with an accessible seat purchase, is required to purchase a ticket for themselves and up to three companion seats.

Our staff will make sure that guests needing a little bit more time or special assistance are able to enter the building and get to their seats without any hassle.

Accessible parking arking is located in both the North and South parking decks directly next to the Constant Center. Accessible  Drop of f entrance is on 45th Street.

What is Will Call?

Will Call allows individuals to pick up pre-purchased tickets for an event at the Box Office. Will Call tickets may be picked up at the Box Office beginning 3 hours prior to the event. Picture I.D. and signature are required for pickup.

I am planning to bring a large group to a Constant Center event. Can I get a group discount on tickets?

There are various shows and events throughout the year that offer group discounts. The number that is considered a group varies on a show-by-show basis. If you are interested in purchasing group tickets for an event, contact the group sales office at (757) 683-5000 or click here.

Can you email me information regarding upcoming Constant Center events?

The Ted Constant Convocation Center has an email club called the All Access Club! This is a FREE electronic event notification service that is offered to everyone! By being a member of this elite club, you will get:

Are cameras allowed for Constant Center events?

The use of still cameras/flash photography and recording devices is prohibited at most Constant Center events. If a patron brings a camera or recording device into the venue, the patron will be asked to return that item to his/her vehicle or check it with guest services. Cameras are allowed into certain events, however you should call the Constant Center at (757) 683-4444 to determine if the event you are attending allows cameras.

Are laptops and iPads permitted inside the Constant Center?

Subject to event approval, portable computing devices are permitted in the Constant Center.

Are children required to have a valid ticket?

A ticket is required for all children who have celebrated their first birthday.

At what time will the general public be allowed to enter the Constant Center on event day?

For most events, doors open one hour prior to the event start time.

Does the Constant Center prohibit guests from entering with certain items?

The following is a list of the Ted Constant Convocation Center restrictions:

  • Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
  • Glass bottles or aluminum cans
  • Ice chests (coolers) or thermos containers
  • Cameras or recording devices (allowed only at specific events)
  • Sticks or clubs
  • Fireworks, firearms, or other weapons
  • Bullhorns or noise makers
  • Confetti or balloons
  • Animals (except certified service dogs for the disabled)
  • Beach balls and other inflatables
  • Outside food or beverages
  • Skateboards or rollerblades
  • Water bottles or mugs

Once I enter the Constant Center, am I allowed to exit and re-enter using the same ticket?

The Constant Center has a no reentry policy for ticketed events. Any guest who leaves the facility during an event is required to present an unused ticket to gain admission. In the event of a special circumstance, please contact a staff member for assistance.

Can I smoke at the Constant Center?

The Ted Constant Convocation Center is a non-smoking facility, except in designated smoking areas. All seating areas are classified as non-smoking. The designated smoking area is located outside the main lobby.
