ODU Student Activities Council presents ScHoolboy Q and YG featuring special guest BJ the Chicago Kid as part of the 2014 Homecoming Concert at the Ted Constant Convocation Center on November 7 at 8pm.

Tickets are priced at $16 for ODU students and $25 for General Admission.  Tickets go on sale Monday, September 29 at 10am. ScHoolboy Q, arrived as one of rap’s emerging voices in 2007 with his debut mixtape, ScHoolboy Turned Hustla.  He released his sophomore mixtape, Gangsta & Soul in 2009, followed by his debut album titled Setbacks in 2011.  His latest project, Habits & Contradictions, changed the expectation of what a West Coast Hip Hop album should sound like, as ScHoolboy Q notes his biggest influences were The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, and 50 Cent.  Powered by instant favorites like “I’m Good” and “Birds & THe Beez”, he solidified his place in the rap scene.

YG has already established himself as one of the most important voices in West Coast Hip-Hop at only age 22.  Through singles such as “Toot It & Boot It” and “Snitches,” YG has amassed an impressive, devout fan base and his tireless work ethic extends from recording to touring and acting.  His latest street anthem, “Grindmode” features contributions from notable peers, 2 Chainz and Nipsey Hussle.
